Amsterdam, Netherlands

The Netherlands is located in Northwestern Europe.  The country is bordered by Belgium and Germany.  A majority of the country's residents ride bicycles for transportation.

Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands.  The city is renowned for its artistic heritage, quaint canals and narrow houses.

Instagrammable eateries in Amsterdam...

Amsterdam has several eateries such as coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants.  Two Instagram famous eateries that I visited in Amsterdam were Dignita Vondelpark and Selma's Nordic Bakery & Speciality Coffee.  Dignita Vondelpark serves brunch, drinks, snacks and home-made cakes.

Selma's Nordic Bakery & Speciality Coffee is a bakery and café that offers specialty coffee, sandwiches and baked goods.

My most memorable memories of my trip to Amsterdam will always be...​

  1. Seeing the holiday lights strung across some of the streets such as De 9 Straatjes (The Nine Streets)

  2. Walking amidst the narrow houses and buildings of Amsterdam while frequently spotting avid cyclists traversing through the city's dedicated bicycle lanes

  3. Seeing the colorful narrow houses on the Damrak waterfront

  4. Indulging in a delectable chocolate tart from Selma's Nordic Bakery & Speciality Coffee

  5. Seeing Staalmeestersbrug, a classic Dutch draw bridge
